# Build product videos into your own tools

The Polysh API will expose the same steps as the web app over REST. Send a recording, make the video, add languages, and get a share link from your own code.

## What the API will include

### API keys per workspace

Create keys for each service that calls Polysh, and revoke one without touching the others.

### Webhooks for finished jobs

Get a call to your endpoint when a video finishes, fails, or is cancelled, instead of polling.

### An OpenAPI spec

Generate a client in your language, or hand the spec to your agent so it knows every endpoint.

## The shape of a request

A video job starts with one request and ends with a webhook. Endpoint names and fields below are illustrative.

- `POST /videos` with `recording: <upload id>`, `languages: en, es, ja`, and `voice: <voice id per language>`
- Response: `202 Accepted { job_id }`
- Webhook to your endpoint when the job is done: `event: video.export.succeeded` with `video_id, share_link, captions (srt, vtt), guide`

**Will it work with automation tools like n8n or Zapier?** Not at first. The API and webhooks are designed so automation tools can start jobs and react when they finish, and any ready-made connectors will be announced on the changelog.
