Early access MCP server

# Video tools your agent can call over MCP

The Polysh MCP server lets your agent upload a recording, make a narrated video, add languages, export, and share it from the chat you're in.

Early access. The tool list is planned and may change.

## Planned MCP tools

Each tool does one job. Tools that change data or spend credits are labeled.

## Three things to ask for

### Upload, rewrite, and export

```
Upload onboarding-take-3.mp4 to Polysh, rewrite the script in a friendly tone, and export it in English and Japanese.
```

### Check credits before translating

```
Check our Polysh credits, estimate the cost of translating the "Team permissions" video into French and Dutch, and wait for my go-ahead.
```

### Put a guide in your docs

```
Get the guide for the "Connect Slack" video as Markdown and add it to docs/integrations/slack.md in this repo.
```

## Long jobs don't block your agent

Video jobs take a while, so `create_video`, `translate_video`, and `export` return a job ID at once.

1. 1### Start
    It starts the job and returns its ID.

2. 2### Wait
    `wait_for_job` returns the result when it's ready.

3. 3### Or check in
    `get_job` reports progress while your agent keeps working.

## You stay in charge of changes

### Destructive tools are labeled

`delete_video` is marked destructive, so clients that respect the label ask you first.

### You approve credit use

Tools that spend credits show an estimate, and the agent asks before going ahead.

### Your role, your workspace

The server acts with the permissions your role already has.

## MCP server questions

**Do I need the Video agent too?**

No. It works with any recording you already have. Add the [Video agent](https://polysh.io/agents/video-agent/) if you want your agent to make the recording too.

**How does it sign in to Polysh?**

You connect it to your workspace once, and it acts with your role.

**What does it cost?**

Calling the tools is free during early access. Jobs that render or translate use [workspace credits](https://polysh.io/pricing/), charged only when they succeed.
