FOR PEOPLE & OPERATIONS

# Make day-one workflows less of a guessing game.

Give a new teammate a clear way into your internal tools. Turn a colleague’s screen walkthrough into a narrated explanation and a guide they can follow when it is time to do the work.

A BETTER HANDOFF

## Nobody remembers every screen from the welcome call.

The first week comes with new names, tools, and habits. A task-based reference lets a teammate revisit the expense form or request process when they actually need it.

BEFORE

### Learn it all in one sitting.

An experienced colleague shares a screen. The new hire takes notes, then has to ask again when the task comes around.

WITH POLYSH

### Learn the task when it comes up.

A narrated walkthrough explains the unfamiliar tool. A guide holds the prerequisites and steps in a format the teammate can use beside it.

THE WORKFLOW

## Start with the questions every new teammate asks.

1. 01
  ### Pick an internal task
Choose a workflow such as submitting an expense or requesting leave. Record a sample request with no personal or financial information.

2. 02
  ### Add the context an experienced colleague skips
Explain permissions, required details, and what happens after submission. Review the script and the guide’s expected results.

3. 03
  ### Keep the reference within reach
Share the video or guide with the intended audience. For information sent outside your organization, use invited-email access as appropriate.

GOOD TO KNOW

## A few practical questions.

About using Polysh for employee onboarding.

**Is this an employee training management system?**

Polysh helps you create and share walkthroughs. It does not provide course enrollment, completion tracking, or an employee learning management system.

**Can I document a task without showing private employee data?**

Yes. Prepare a sample workspace and sample request before recording. Review the finished video and guide before sharing either.

**Can new teammates keep a copy of the guide?**

Yes. Guides can be downloaded as PDFs when downloading is enabled. Choose that setting based on the information the guide contains.
