Help center videos that match the product today

Add a narrated walkthrough and a written guide to each top help article. When a release moves a button, record the flow again and Polysh rewrites, re-voices, and re-syncs it.

One release can outdate your help videos

A renamed menu or moved button makes a help video wrong. Re-editing by hand takes time a small team doesn't have, so old videos stay up and customers open tickets.

Before

  • The video shows last quarter's toolbar and points to a button that isn't there.

With Polysh

  • A rough take of the new path becomes the new walkthrough and the new guide.

What every help center video gets

Start with the articles behind your most common tickets.

One voice across the library

Use the same voice on every article, so the help center sounds consistent even when different people record.

Captions with every export

SRT and VTT files to upload with the video, and captions on or off in the Polysh player.

A guide next to the video

For readers who'd rather scan. A screenshot that doesn't match its step is left out, not shown wrong.

Public or restricted

Anyone-with-the-link for public help. Invited emails only, confirmed by code, for beta or enterprise articles.

How voiceover and sync work

Example: updating help center videos after the Export button moved

A release moves Export from the report toolbar into a new Share menu. Three help articles still show the old toolbar, and "where did Export go?" tickets start arriving.

  1. 1

    Record the new path

A support lead records Share, then Export, then CSV in the Chrome recorder, talking as they go. The original recordings stay unchanged.

  2. 2

    Approve the script

Polysh rewrites the narration. The word list keeps "Share" and "Export" capitalized as the product shows them.

  3. 3

    Same voice, new export

The lead keeps the help center's voice, checks the credit estimate, and swaps the new MP4 and VTT file into all three articles.

  4. 4

    Refresh the guide

The guide is regenerated from the new take. Its link in each article doesn't change.

Questions from support and education teams

Can I put the video in our help center?

Yes. Upload the MP4 and SRT or VTT captions to your help center or video host, or link to the Polysh share page. Polysh doesn't connect to help desks directly.

Can we use an existing recording?

Yes. Upload a take from any recorder. The Polysh recorder adds click data for more precise zooms.

Will my guide edits survive an update?

No. Regenerating replaces that language's guide, and Polysh asks first. Make small fixes in the existing guide instead.
